In School Events and Workshops!

Buzz Bot Classroom Workshop

Bring us to school!

Our In School Stem Classes and Workshops are a fun enrichment for your students. We bring the materials, tools and challenges.

Workshops are contstructed around next generation science standard and all lessons have hands on project.

Students also take home their creation, giving them a way to rember a fun memory and the lesson!

Grades 1-8

In-School STEM Workshops

  • Robot Creation

    Let’s build a Wheelie-Bot!

Learn about electronics, engineering, and the basic principles of robotics.

  • Hydraulic Critters

Learn about how hydraulics work while you build a hydraulic bug. This class is fun, informative, and attainable for many ages.

  • LED Monsters

Build a simple monster from cardboard and make its eyes glow! Students color and construct their monster while learning about electronics as we add glowing eyes.

  • Propellor Cars

Build rubber band powered cars that demonstrate kinetic and potential energy!

These cars are a lot of fun and move really fast across the room. This is sure to be a fun and memorable event.

  • Buzz Bots

Build a bot that vibrates across the room on a toothbrush head! This bot teaches about electrical circuits and put your engineering skills to the test.

  • Wiggle Bots

The Wiggle Bot draws as it vibrates around the room. With markers for legs, it creates some really awesome art work.

  • Intro to Robotics

    Let’s learn about the Mbot!

This intro to coding uses the Mbot, a programmable robot capable of line following, obstacle avoidance, and other fun and interesting tasks.

Learn how it uses sensors and its programming to complete its goals.

  • Intro to Robot Programming

We dive deeper into the Mbot’s features and abilities with hands-on challenges and problems to solve using iPads to code the robot.

No experience is necessary, just a willingness to listen, learn, and explore!

  • Simple Machines Challenge

There are 6 simple machines - wedge, wheel and axle, screw, lever, pulley, and inclined plane. Join us to learn how these objects make work easier by doing hands-on experiments and creating machines to solve various real world problems.

  • Green Screen Animation

Green screen technology helps create many of the special effects we see on television and in the movies!

Using iPads, and some helpful applications, we will learn all about green screen technology and how to create simple animated characters.

  • Crazy Catapults

Catapults are a great way to learn about physics, and it’s a lot of fun to launch objects through the air!

Students will build catapults and learn about trajectory, precision, accuracy, and the various forces that affect the flight of their projectiles!

  • Electronics - Simple Circuits

This workshop focuses on creative thinking, and problem solving through circuit wiring concepts such as parallel and series circuits.

Experimentation is key as we build our projects to see what wont work and how to find a solution that does!

  • Bridges - Strong Structures

Students learn about the different types of bridges, and engineering techniques, They’re then challenged to build their own bridge that can hold our test weights!

  • Flight Test

Learn about the physics of flight by studying lift, thrust, and drag. Students will build, experiment, and create flying machines based on these aerodynamic principles.

  • Crash Test

Students build rubber band race cars, learning about the engineering and design process.

We will also learn about potential and kinetic energy. After we build our cars, we will try to stop inertia by building a protective container for delicate passengers.

  • Magnetic Magic

    Magnets are awesome!

Students learn all about how magents are formed and are used in the real world, we will also perform fun and hands-on experiments with the neat stuff they can do!

  • Amazing Earth Science

Explore Earth Sciences such as Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, and Astronomy and what makes up the world around us, while experimenting, creating, and having lots of hands on science fun!

  • Animal Adaptations

Animals have adapted to survive extreme climates such as the desert, arctic, and the deep sea! We will conduct fun experiments to learn and study these adaptations and how these wonderful creatures use them everyday!

  • Mechanical Creatures

Students combine art and engineering to build amazing mechanical creatures.

Using various building techniques and the engineering design process, students can display their artistic skills and creativitiy.

  • Creative Chemistry

Learn all about being chemists by conducting fun and exciting experiments!

We will create chemical reactions, experiment with different densities, and learn about other important aspects of the field of chemistry!

  • This time, It *is* Rocket Science!

Students learn about the physics principles needed to temporarily break the bonds of gravity and launch rockets toward outer space!

We will use an air powered rocket launcher (created by a company right here in New Hampshire!) and send their paper rockets over 200 feet into the air!
